Rosalyn Page is an award-winning journalist, writer, editor and blogger with a niche in digital lifestyle, technology, marketing and travel. Rosalyn is currently working as a freelance journalist and has worked in the media for nearly 20 years, starting at a niche medical publisher then moving to Australian Consolidated Press, one of the largest Australian magazine publishing houses. Her writing has been published in books, newspapers, websites and magazines in Australia, the UK, the US and China. Rosalyn has written two Career FAQs Guides on Education and Crime Fighters and contributed to a book on telecommunications in Australia.

Rosalyn Page was a journalist with CHOICE, the Australian Consumers Association, until 2017 when she left to move to the UK and return to freelancing. Rosalyn also managed the set-uo of the broadband performance measuring program for CHOICE in 2017. She also blogs about life a freelancer in 2018 and beyond.

Rosalyn is the founder, writer & editor of arts, culture and tech blog Some Notes From A Broad. Rosalyn built and designed the site, which features reviews and articles on film, TV, books and music, plus the Creative Women at Work interview series, a regular round-up of recommendations on what to watch, read and listen and discussion on technology and digital lifestyle. There is also a regular weekly newsletter with a digest of recent posts. Recent articles include a story on mudlarking and Thames tours, Bangkok with kids, start-ups in London and protecting your digital legacy.


Rosalyn won the Best Investigative Writer award at the 2017 Consensus IT Writers awards for a story on the hidden privacy traps in free shopping centre Wi-Fi.

Rosalyn won the Best Investigative Writer award and was a finalist for Best Technical Writer in 2016 and in 2013 was a finalist for Best Investigative Writer at the Consensus IT Writers awards.

Rosalyn won the award for Best Consumer Technology Journalist at ‘The Lizzies’, the MediaConnect IT Journo Awards in 2009.


Rosalyn has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree with a major in Philosophy and Sound Design from the University of Technology, Sydney. She also has a Master of Arts in Media and Communications from the University of News South Wales.

Rosalyn has undertaken professional development courses in social media marketing, SEO and Google Analytics, Writing for UX and the Web, Defamation and the Media, Data Journalism and Data Data Visualisation through the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americans.

It’s not all about work

Rosalyn is a keen runner and has completed the Sydney City2Surf and the Sydney Running Festival Half Marathon. Rosalyn is currently learning French via Skype and is hoping to one day have enough time to live in France and become conversant in the language of love. She loves red wine and Indian food, seeing live bands, travelling and photography and binge watching TV series like The Americans, The Handmaid’s Tale and Breaking Bad. Rosalyn like most of us has a pile of books in the process of being read and a notebook with the scribblings of a novel.
