I’m an award-winning journalist, content writer and blogger with a niche in technology, innovation, marketing and digital lifestyle. I won the Best Investigative Writer in 2016 and 2017 at the Consensus IT Writer’s Awards, and won the Best Consumer Technology Journalist award in 2008 at the IT Journo Awards.
I’m working as a freelance journalist and content marketing writer and strategist, and I’ve worked in the media for nearly 20 years, starting at a niche medical publisher then moving to Australian Consolidated Press, one of the largest Australian magazine publishing houses. My writing has been published in books, newspapers, websites and magazines in Australia, the UK, the US and China. I have written two Career FAQs Guides on Education and Crime Fighters and contributed to a book on telecommunications in Australia.
I was a journalist with CHOICE, the Australian Consumers Association, until 2017 when I left to move to the UK and return to freelancing. I also managed the set-up of the broadband performance measuring program for CHOICE in 2017. I blog about life a freelancer.
I’m also the founder, writer and editor of arts, culture and tech blog Some Notes From A Broad. I built and designed the site, which features reviews and articles on film, TV, books and music, plus the Creative Women at Work interview series, and a regular round-up of recommendations on what to watch, read and listen. There is also a regular weekly newsletter with a digest of recent posts.

It’s not all about work
I’m a keen runner and have completed the Sydney City2Surf and the Sydney Running Festival Half-Marathon. I’m currently learning French via Skype and hoping to one day have enough time to live in France and become conversant in the language of love. I enjoy dining out, seeing live bands, travelling and photography and binge watching TV series like The Americans, The Handmaid’s Tale and Breaking Bad. And I have a pile of books in the process of being read and a notebook with the scribblings of a novel.
